The bedding had a musty smell & could use updating. Pillows need updating too!

Lovely ground-floor condo in a super family-friendly, large condo complex. Our 7 year old made friends immediately at one of the two pools and ran all over the manicured grounds with his new buds, looking for cats and koi and chatting with the front desk staff. You can walk to food trucks, the ABC store, or the famous cinnamon roll place with the insane line. There are two pools, each with a hot tub (which was great because it was a bit chilly) and pickleball courts too. The master bedroom is huge and the bathrooms are nicely renovated. The main drawback for us was that the beach at Papakea isn't really swimable (it's just a rocky sea wall with rock steps leading directly into the ocean, no sand.) If you want to go to the beach, you have to pack up and drive and park somewhere else - which is a drag. All in all, though, this was a nice hybrid between a "house" and a full service hotel, of which there are many in this area of Kaanapali.

We really enjoyed our stay! Miranda’s place looks just like the pictures and the location is absolutely beautiful. The beach is right there, and there are tons of great amenities. It comfortably fit our family of 6. We’re especially grateful to Miranda for accommodating us last minute after we had to leave our original Airbnb unexpectedly—she truly saved the day!

We love Papakea and really enjoyed this Condo. It was very roomy for what we needed and great location. It had everything we needed as far as towels, beach gear, etc. It may be a bit outdated for some, but perfect for what we wanted. We would definitely rent this condo again!

Place was wonderful!
Had an issue with the refrigerator, I contacted her and she had a short term solution figured out within minutes and a new refrigerator installed the following day! Wonderful communication!

Our stay in Maui was absolutely amazing. Definitely a memorable experience. Will loved that we can grill by the pool as our kids are swimming and the fact the the beach was just steps away from our resort. The stores, restaurants and food trucks were also in walking distance. We will be coming back for sure. Mahalo

Great location, beautiful property. Condo could use some upgrades and air conditioner but you forgot it all as you sit on the lanai and take in the beautiful view.

We enjoyed our vacation and working with Miranda. The property was more than we expected. I would most definitely recommend the property. We would love to return one day and work with Miranda again.

We had a delightful time once again at the Papakea. Our unit G-205 was very comfortable and perfectly situated on the beautiful grounds. The unit was fully stocked with whatever we needed.

Nice unit good condition

We absolutely love the Papakea. The grounds are immaculate and quiet. The rooms are great and usually contain many of the items needed for your week, e.g. beach chairs, a snorkel set or two, extra towels, road to Hana tour cds, etc.

Enjoyed our stay. The condo was perfect size for us and the two bedrooms were spacious. Plenty of activities on the grounds. Yoga classes were great. The fans helped keep everyone cool. I liked having the sea wall ledge rather than a beach. It was less busy and we were just a short walk to the restaurants, grocery store and coffee shop. Thanks for the welcome goodies.

Front desk clerks need more spunk, not friendly at all this visit !!!! Concierge staff was awesome !!!!

This is a really nice condo and is well equipped. The carpet that previous guests had complained about has been replaced with new laminate flooring. It comes well equipped with everything you would need from a cooler to beach chairs. We would definitely stay here again

I did not like one thing and that was take your shoes off when entering the unit. We did but I have to say the carpet was so dirty that I was glad I had house slippers with me .

When I think of coming to Maui, this is the kind of place that comes to mind. Extremely well stocked and perfect for a family/friends to join you. Can't wait to come back! No a/c.

The condo was very nice, clean, and very safe! I brought three 16 year old girls for a week and we all had a fantastic time. The beach is a quick walk from the condo and watching the evening sunsets were spectacular. The entire staff was helpful and always with a smile!

Loved the Papakea resort! The pools, gardens were fabulous. Mini golf, shuffle boards, pools, BBQ facilities made it such a wonderful place to stay. Plenty of turtles out the front, we got to swim with them, lots of fish on the reef. Unfortunately our room wasn't air conditioned but our friends that were staying in another apartment was. Being July we suffered with the heat in our room. Would stay at this resort again but different apartment.

Great place for a family vacation -- beaches, pools, sunshine and tons of fun stuff to do!

This property is beautifully maintained. The staff works tirelessly and are very pleasant. We stayed in unit G205 which is a great location with sideways view of the ocean and sunset. You can hear the ocean at night. This unit needs a renovation. We had family staying in another G unit which had an updated kitchen and flooring. The carpeting is pretty old and feels dirty. I'm sure they clean it regularly but it is so old now that the stain spots seem to surface quickly. It is fully stocked with everything you will need. The management company was very responsive to our requests. Overall a great location!

We just spent 8 days in West Maui at the beautiful Papakea Resort. Tucked away at the end of a private driveway, first impressions do not disappoint. This resort is super clean and its buildings and grounds meticulously kept. A real gem! Our suite, G205, had an ocean view and overlooked a koi pond, putting green, and beautiful gardens. The resort has 2 swimming pools, 2 hot tubs, and a dozen BBQ's around the pools. The resort also has an in-house Expedia Expert so organizing excursions was a breeze. Aqua size and yoga classes were offered in the mornings and was our way to start the day. We enjoyed swimming and snorkeling at some of Maui's best beaches just minutes away by car: Kapulua Bay, Napili Bay, and DT Fleming Beach. A grocery store was a block away and a convenience store next door. We had a terrific stay at Papakea Resort, Suite G205, and would highly recommend it! So beautiful, so quiet!

I stayed at the Papakea Resort, specifically unit G205. Everything was excellent. The Condo has everything you need, was very clean, and very comfortable. The view from the Lania can not be beat. The pool and grounds in general are very well kept. I would rent this unit again in a heart beat.
